The Society meets at 7.00pm on the third Thursday of each month (except for December and January) at the Palms, corner of Rokeby and Nicholson Roads Subiaco. The meeting takes the format of a formal meeting of about half an hour’s duration, tea or coffee and then a demonstration of different techniques and media by an invited artist.
Cost of Membership:  $50 per year plus $10 joining fee

A prize-giving exhibition is held annually around May. Prizes are awarded as follows – The Vic Felstead Award of $500 for the best painting in the exhibition – Vic Felstead was a much-admired member of the Society who bequeathed $10.000 to the Society, the interest from which provides a prize in perpetuity. A prize of $300 is awarded in the categories of oil/acrylic, watercolour or mixed media (whichever two are not represented by the Vic Felstead Award).

Members can take a painting along to the meeting to be part of the competition. There are four categories – white, blue, gold and platinum. A specified number of wins in each category allows the participant to move through the various sections until the level of platinum is achieved. There is a certificate for the winner in each section.

A Xmas party is held annually in lieu of the December meeting.

Occasional workshops are held.
