On Thursday, 29th April, approximately 30 WASA members and a WASA visitor arrived at the front gates of Government House to enter the grounds to commence the En Plein Air Paintout.
There was a mixture of mediums with oils and watercolour proving to be the most popular with a few pen and wash thrown in the mix.
The artists set up their easels on the front lawn down into the tropical garden below. Governor Kim Beazley AC and his wife, Susie Annus, wandered around the gardens after 11.00 am and chatted to all the artists about their work, thoroughly enjoying the experience with all the artists. The artists had until 2.00 pm to complete their artwork before leaving the grounds and the fabulous experience of En Plein Air painting at Government House.
