I was born in Collie,
I went to school at PLC until the Leaving certificate. I worked as a stenographer until I got married. This led me to travel which I have done extensively, since I was 21 years. I lived in England for 18 months working and travelling, since then have travelled a lot. My favourite country is Italy, thus often painting it.
I grew up near the river and ocean and went to Rottnest for most family holidays. Thus my love of boats and water.
After I had children I did an arts course at Claremont Technical school mainly silverwork and ceramics. I then did floral art, which made me look at colour, from there I went into painting and drawing. I learnt mainly from Larry Mitchell, but have been on several overseas art trips with several well-known artists including Alvaro Castagnet, David Taylor and Charles Sluga. I attended the Bathurst University Art School for many years and studied under many artists including Joseph Zbukvich.
I have been in many exhibitions and sold paintings internationally and in Australia. I have won many awards, and I have recently won the WA ARTS Society Watercolour prize. I was the Vice President of the Watercolour Society for 3 years and on the committee for another year. I was also Vice President of WA Art Society. I am a member of Atwell Gallery. I have had several exhibitions, including a couple of solo exhibitions.
Two highlights in my painting career was going to Maccano and Milan in Italy, with the Watercolour Society where we had our paintings hanging in their Art Exhibition.
