WASA had the opportunity to participate in a Plein Air paint-out at Government House as part of the 125th Anniversary Celebrations on Thursday 29th April. Thank you all for attending and making this event such a signature event for the West Australian Society of Arts.
Well done for making our inaugural Plein Air paint-out at Government House such a successful and memorable event.
Governor Kim Beazley AC and his wife, Ms. Suzie Annus, were incredibly impressed with all the artwork on their walkabout and the dedication and commitment shown.
Both the Governor and Suzie have proposed WASA return later in the year to have a small exhibition. They also wish to consider purchasing a piece of artwork for Government House. We have not made any fixed arrangements yet, but we intend to make overtures on your behalf to commence the arrangements for the proposed exhibition as soon as possible.
We require the WASA members present at the Government House Paintout to forward the Plein Air image of your completed artwork to janeholly@westnet.com.au for the Government House website as soon as possible.
