Claire continued to pursue a fashion career, living and working in Sydney and eventually landing in the bright lights of costume design. Claire still runs one of Australia most loved “Stage Bikini” business. Although these days she is leaving more of the day-to-day running’s to her daughter (so she can paint more.) Their designs are seen on both fitness and dance stages around the world.
Claire picked up a paint brush (Finally her mum declared!) in 2020 as a 50th birthday gift to herself. Over the last 4 years it has become an obsession. Studying online and in master classes with a number of wonderful teachers, Claire has a distinct style that strives to be both loose and bold, with obvious brush marks. She has spent a lifetime using bold colours and this is often reflected in her work. “With the primary goal” to capture the light and energy of her varied topics. Working primarily with acrylic’s Claire loves the fast pace they provide.
