ARTIST’S STATEMENT
“I try to tell my story in as few brush strokes as possible.”
Born in Tasmania and now living in Perth, I have been painting for over twelve years and for the last four years regularly painting en plein air.
This has resulted in a passion for getting the light just right while on-site and then taking that lightness into studio paintings. I am a member of Perth Plein Air Painters and get out to paint with them as much as possible.
Regular attendance at life drawing, but using paint on vintage paper, has lead to improved skills.
Regular attendance at watercolour workshops held at local, national and international workshops, has helped me develop my own personal style. I am a Committee member of the WA Watercolour Society.
