Art is my full-time pursuit to happiness. My home studio, nestled in the heart of the Swan Valley in Western Australia, is where I spend my days creating my artworks. 

Drawing inspiration from the resilience and architectural beauty of native Australian plants, I celebrate vibrant colors and the interplay of light and form in my paintings. I believe art has the power to connect people to the natural world, fostering a deeper appreciation of our environment. Each piece I create is a heartfelt expression of the beauty I find in nature, bringing me immense joy and aiming to spread happiness to those who view my creations. My artwork has been exhibited in galleries and exhibitions both in Australia and internationally, and I am honored to have my work collected by private and corporate clients. Additionally, I enjoy sharing my passion and skills with others through regular workshops.

In primary school, my art teacher’s criticism made me determined to pursue art and eventually switching schools to do so. My year 12 teacher encouraged me to study design in college. After a career in graphic design in South Africa, I took maternity leave and eventually moved to Australia with my husband. Despite enjoying time with my children, frequent moves left me feeling disconnected. Back surgery and a care package of art supplies reignited my passion for creating, leading to my first acrylic paintings and a return to art in June 2014.

I was eager to learn and grow as much as I could and took a casual position to supplement my income and art supply habit with Jackson’s Drawing Supplies.

My most recent highlight was finally becoming an award-winning artist in the inaugural national Petite Collection Small Works Art Prize judged by the iconic Ken Done. I’m still pinching myself.
